New mani, gel tester, and Shellac infos!

Alright, we'll start with the Shellac info! I recently removed my Shellac nails and let me tell you: I think I may have to buy their special top coat. The soaking in acetone for 10 minutes removed some (about 40%) of the Shellac, the rest I scraped off (about 40%) and the remaining stuff I filed off (about 20%). So I will see if they have a top coat available next time I go (last time they did not). Perhaps that will make removal as easy as they claim it to be!
I recently saw a very cute set of nails of under the sea theme, so I tried my own! It turned out super cute!!!
I also received my coveted Konad image plates order and decided that after the Shellac debacle I would just give myself a manicure (as I did not have time to do a full set). They turned out A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I love these image plates so much!

OPI Gelpolish

Another soak-off is coming to the market in the near future! (Some time in October or November depending on suppliers and such). I am excited for this as this product boasts the strength of the Axxium system but the ease of use like nail polish! Much like the other soak-off gel polishes out there, I definitely want to try this one out!

Shellac and NEW China Glaze Crackle Metals!

So, I tried some Shellac today on myself and I must say -holy time saver-! It took me about 30 minutes to do my own nails (designs not included, but they took about 5 minutes) rather than the hour or hour and a half depending what I am doing on my own nails. The Shellac is actually a gel polish so it cures under the UV lamp. I really like this product and will write more when it comes time for removal! The removal process is also a lot less harsh than regular gel removal (acetone cotton tinfoil wrap for 10 minutes, wipe and scrape whatever is left over off versus filing off the old and putting on new)! The Shellac I bought is called Rock Royalty and it is a fantastic deep purple color. In the photos it is more sparkly as I wanted a little more dimension so I added some more shimmer to it :D
On top of all the Shellac excitement, I also am in possession of -ALL- the new China Glaze crackle metals! They are so pretty and I can't wait to use them!!!

Mani and Pedis!

Just finished doing 2 lovely sets of manis and pedis! Unfortunately they had to leave before I could snag some photos! My mom's mani was a metallic China Glaze dusty rose pink color called Admire with a black flower accent. Tammy's were Ahoy! with Crushed Candy crackle! My mom's pedi was Orly's Here Comes Trouble and Tammy's was white with China Glaze Broken Hearted. Two very happy ladies with very nice hands and feet!

Gel Pedi and a Regular Mani!

Thanks to Stacy who bought me some black gel! (Lucky for every one else because now I have that color!) I tested it out by doing a gel pedi on myself! I think it turned out great. Also here is a regular manicure with some colors I really love!!! Green color is Orly Here Comes Trouble (pin-up collection) and the crackle is China Glaze Broken Hearted.
